Denver Mini Maker Faire, “The Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth,”
Returns to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science June 11 and 12

DENVER―May 12― The Colorado Maker Hub in collaboration with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science will be hosting the Denver Mini Maker Faire June 11 and 12. Local and regional makers and innovative organizations will participate; showcasing science, technology, arts, crafts and creative talents during the two-day event.

"Inspiring people of all ages to actively create, invent and problem solve is part of our mission," said Nathan Seidle, founder and CEO of SparkFun Electronics, presenting sponsor for the event. "We are proud of our ongoing work with The Denver Mini Maker Faire―this event is not about a one-weekend experience, it is about connecting people to leading-edge technology and motivating them to innovate for the future."

Highlights include one-of a kind, hands-on experiences:

Serenity Forge Musical Experience: Use the motion of your arms and hands to create magical lines on a screen that interact with falling objects to generate music. Watch and listen as the objects bound around the lines, creating a symphony of sounds that come together like magic.

ArtoCade: Participate in the decoration of an “art car” that will be included in the 2016 ArtoCade Festival in Trinidad, Colorado on Sept. 9 and 10. The vehicle will become a rolling structure reflecting the creativity of the Faire attendees.

Fashion Forward and Wearable Tech: Experience the future of fashion, including wearable technologies, recycled fashion, cosplay and unique textiles.

And Many More: Fabrication from welding and soldering to electronics and arduinos, R2D2, rockets, robots, engineering, bridge building challenge, inventors design workshop, drones, Fly the Planetarium, Nerdy Derby, urban arts all included in this hands-on event!

General admission to the Museum is included with the 2016 Denver Mini Maker Faire ticket. The event will be held inside and outside the Museum, rain or shine. Free parking is available; alternative transportation is encouraged.

Tickets are available for purchase here.
