DENVER – Oct. 9 – The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the region’s leading resource for informal science education, announces the addition of Christine Marquez-Hudson to its Board of Trustees.

“Christine is an inspirational leader, and we are privileged to count her as a member of our board,” said George Sparks, President and CEO of the Museum. “The value of Christine’s vast experience in Colorado’s nonprofit sector cannot be understated as the Museum continues to chart its path toward a vibrant future for our community.”

Marquez-Hudson is the CEO/executive director of Mi Casa Resource Center, which works to advance the economic success of Latino families. She began her career at Mi Casa in 2008, providing a life skills and GED program to teen mothers. She later launched Mi Casa’s after-school program at Lake Middle School. Before returning to Mi Casa as its CEO, Marquez-Hudson served as Director of Consulting and Capacity Building at JVA Consulting.

In January, Marquez-Hudson will become President and CEO of The Denver Foundation, one of the state’s largest foundations.

“I’ve dedicated my life to helping others realize their potential through education, and I’m looking forward to continuing these efforts at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science,” said Marquez-Hudson.

Marquez-Hudson is currently a trustee of the Boettcher Foundation, a member of the Colorado Women’s Forum, a member of the Colorado Nonprofit Association’s Board of Directors and former Co-Chair of the Denver Latino Commission. She also serves on the Mayor’s Education Compact Committee.

Marquez-Hudson received her bachelor’s degree in political science from University of California, Los Angeles, and her master’s degree in nonprofit management from Regis University.
