A Day in Pompeii and a new IMAX film make the Museum the perfect stop during the holidays
Denver-November 8, 2012-With kids out of school and family in town this holiday season, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science has something for everyone. Visitors of all ages will enjoy extended hours to see A Day in Pompeii, the beautiful new IMAX filmRocky Mountain Expressin 2D, and the unique gifts available in the Museum Shop.
A Day in Pompeii Extended Holiday Hours
Thousands have visited A Day in Pompeii to get an insider's glimpse into the daily life-and tragic end-of this ancient Roman city that was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79.
A Day in Pompeii will be open until 7 p.m.* on
- Friday, November 16-Saturday, November 24 (excluding Thanksgiving Day)
- Friday, December 21-Sunday, January 13 (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and Thursday, January 10)
*The last timed ticket will be issued at 5:30 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Express 2D
Rocky Mountain Express takes audiences on a steam train journey through the breathtaking vistas of the Canadian Rockies as it tells the epic story of building that nation's first transcontinental railway. The film weaves together spectacular IMAX aerial cinematography, stunning landscapes of the West, archival photographs and maps, and the powerful energy and rhythms of a live steam locomotive.
Showtimes: Rocky Mountain Express 2D plays daily at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., with additional shows on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
