DENVER—May 22, 2014—Amplify your Friday nights this summer with local food, science fun, and more during Summer Nights @ the Museum at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, May 30 through August 22.
Guests will purchase an all-access ticket for $12 for Museum members and $15 for nonmembers. A cash bar will also be available. The ticket includes admission to themed food events as well as
- Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed exhibition, with engaging ways for people of all ages to learn about this fascinating culture
- Discovery Zone, a brand-new play-and-learn gallery for young children (available beginning June 13)
- Laserium shows in Gates Planetarium, live laser shows set to the beats of the Beatles, Pink Floyd, or U2
- IMAX films:
- May 30: Jerusalem 3D: 5 p.m and 7 p.m., Journey to the South Pacific 3D: 6 p.m
- Beginning June 6: Island of Lemurs: Madagascar 3D, 5 p.m., D-Day Normandy: 1944 3D, 6 p.m., Pandas: The Journey Home 3D, 7 p.m.
- Special activities in the Morgridge Family Exploration Center
Summer Nights @ the Museum will kick off on May 30 with a Farm to Table Tasting. The Museum’s culinary team will prepare a variety of small bites from ingredients that are sourced from partner farms within a 100-mile radius of the Museum.

June 6: Take Me Out to the Ballgame
Watch the Rockies take on the LA Dodgers on our 17-foot-high Art and Science Imagination Screen and enjoy upscale ballpark foods from the Museum’s culinary team.
June 13: Urban Farming
Cultivate the farmer within. Learn how to compost from Maxfield’s Organic Soils and find out about the importance of agriculture to the ancient Maya.
June 20: Chocolate and Coffee
Ritual Chocolate will be on hand to do chocolate and coffee pairings inspired by Maya culture.
June 27: Backcountry Gourmet
Camp food with a touch of class. Enjoy cooking demonstrations that put the glam in “glamping” from the Museum’s culinary team.
July 4: No Summer Nights @ the Museum
July 11: Bicycle Repair Clinic
Learn basic bike maintenance while enjoying beer tastings.
July 18: Cooking with Kids
Learn how to make meatballs and other Swedish eats that kids will love from the culinary team at IKEA.
July 25: No Summer Nights @ the Museum
August 1: Cooking Demonstration and Tequila Pairing with Richard Sandoval
Renowned chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval—of Tamayo and Zengo fame—will give a cooking demonstration.
August 8: Bacon and Beer
Enjoy bacon-inspired small bites from Tender Belly bacon and the Museum’s culinary team.
August 15: Maker Faire
Hack, craft, invent, make, and create. This evening is all about celebrating the do-it-yourself mindset.
August 22: Colorado Recipes, Then and Now
We’re preparing recipes from historic cookbooks from the History Colorado archives.
All events are subject to change. Seating for IMAX and Laserium shows will be first-come first-served with an all-access ticket. Summer Nights @ at the Museum will not be offered on July 4 and 25.
