Sponsorship will provide admission and transportation scholarships for students, program support

For the second consecutive year, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is the recipient of a sponsorship from Google through its Field Trip Days program. The sponsorship will benefit at least 8,500 students and chaperones from schools across Colorado during the 2016/2017 academic year by providing admissions scholarships and funds for transportation.

“It takes great partnerships and our brilliant team to inspire a passion for nature and science within the students who visit the Museum and participate in our programs,” said Serena Bruzgo, the Museum’s vice president of development. “We are so grateful to Google for its generous support, which allows us to reach further and bring the Museum experience to students who may not otherwise have been exposed to this type of fun, hands-on learning.”

Google’s Field Trip Days sponsorship covers 100 percent of the cost of the field trip and provides transportation cost support for Colorado schools where 50 percent or more of the students qualify for the National School Lunch Program.

The Museum received its first Field Trip Days sponsorship from Google for the 2015/2016 school year, which benefitted 9,400 students and chaperones and enabled 333 buses to come to the Museum.

"Google loves working with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, and we're excited to continue supporting their efforts to inspire students in Colorado to learn about science and technology!" said Gerardo Interiano, Google's head of public affairs for Colorado.
