DENVER – June 5, 2015 – Come one, come all, to the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science June 13-14 where local and regional makers, leaders of Colorado’s maker revolution, will be showcasing their talents in science, technology, crafting, arts, and wild creativity for a two-day interactive, fun-filled event.
DENVER – June 5, 2015 – Come one, come all, to the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science June 13-14 where local and regional makers, leaders of Colorado’s maker revolution, will be showcasing their talents in science, technology, crafting, arts, and wild creativity for a two-day interactive, fun-filled event.
Participants in this year's Denver Mini Maker Faire will find over 115 Makers with hands-on demos, exhibits and activities featuring electronics, design, music, new technology and the crazy things that are made when these things come together. From Monkey Hunter Physics and a Drone Obstacle course to a Synthesizer Petting Zoo, there is something for everyone, say the event’s producers.
The Denver Mini Maker Faire helps kick off the national Week of Making, established by the Obama Administration to mark the one-year anniversary of last year’s White House Maker Faire. The Week of Making is scheduled for June 12-18, and will coincide with the National Maker Faire in D.C., featuring makers from across the country.
“Today’s DIY is tomorrow’s Made in America,” said President Obama in support of the maker movement.
This year’s highlights of the Denver Mini Maker Faire include over 115 Rocky Mountain makers, inventors and artisans showcasing their DIY creativity at this unique, interactive event.
Bring the family to tinker, play and be inspired:
- Make music at the Science of Music exhibit, where you can build your own instruments and participate in a synthesizer petting zoo
- Experiment and create electrifying art with Sparkfun’s Paint with Code electrically conductive paint and Liteseeds LED stickers
- Build an Art Car with the “Cartists” from Trinidad’s ArtoCade and take a ride on Kinetic Sculptures
- Become a mad scientist – participate in experiments with the National Institute of Standards and Technology, National Center for Atmospheric Research, and the Denver Mad Scientists
- Create whatever you can imagine at the Cardboard Challenge or at Denver Public Library’s Toy Hack
- Drive a robot or fly a quadcopter
- Check out urban art, Steampunk creations, and more
- Visit over 100 maker, inventor and artisan exhibits
- Chat with Star Wars’ R2-D2 and Watch Out for Dr. Who’s mutant Daleks!
- Try your hand at pottery, blacksmithing, welding and experimenting with tools of all kinds

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Rocky Mountain Region’s leading resource for informal science education, is proud to host the 2015 Denver Mini Maker Faire®. General admission to the Museum is included in your 2015 Denver Mini Maker Faire event ticket (excludes IMAX and Planetarium). The event will be held inside and outside the Museum, rain or shine.
