DENVER MUSEUM OF NATURE & SCIENCE NAMES DR. JOHN DEMBOSKI AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SCIENCE
Denver, Colorado – The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. John Demboski as its new Senior Vice President of Science. Dr. Demboski is an accomplished zoologist and museum leader who will bring more than 20 years of experience to the position.
Dr. Demboski is renowned for his research in western North American mammals, where he explores the various processes that contribute to the diversity of these species. His work combines fieldwork and genetics to address fundamental questions about the evolution and distribution of species. He has conducted fieldwork across the western United States, as well as in Canada, Mexico, Mongolia, Paraguay, the Philippines and Russia.
Educated at Purdue University, Dr. Demboski's passion for science and museums was sparked during a volunteer opportunity at the Cincinnati Museum of Natural History. This led him to the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he received his PhD and worked extensively in the University of Alaska Museum's mammal collections. After postdoctoral positions at the University of Idaho and Louisiana State University, Dr. Demboski joined the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, as an assistant professor. In 2006, he joined the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, where he has served as curator of mammals and director of zoology.
During his tenure at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Dr. Demboski has expanded accessibility to collections and increased their overall use by researchers and the public. His leadership and expertise have helped to elevate the museum's scientific research and collections to new heights.

As Senior Vice President of Science, Dr. Demboski will oversee the museum's scientific research and collections and lead its team of scientists and researchers. He will also play a critical role in shaping the Museum's strategic vision for science and education.

"The museum has a long and impressive history of promoting scientific literacy and understanding, and I am thrilled to work with such a talented team to build on that legacy and inspire the next generation of scientists and guests."
Dr. Demboski's appointment as Senior Vice President of Science is effective March 16. The Denver Museum of Nature & Science looks forward to the contributions he will make to its ongoing mission of promoting scientific discovery, education, and engagement.

Denver, Colorado – El Museo de Naturaleza y Ciencia de Denver se enorgullece en anunciar el nombramiento de Dr. John Demboski como Vicepresidente Senior de Ciencia. Dr. Demboski es un zoólogo y líder de museos consumado que aportará más de 20 años de experiencia al cargo.
El Dr. Demboski es reconocido por su investigación en mamíferos del oeste de América del Norte, donde explora los diversos procesos que contribuyen a la diversidad de estas especies. Su trabajo combina el trabajo de campo y la genética para abordar preguntas fundamentales sobre la evolución y distribución de especies. Ha realizado trabajo de campo en el oeste de los Estados Unidos, así como en Canadá, México, Mongolia, Paraguay, las Filipinas y Rusia.
