The Ice Age Hits the Streets of Denver

Denver Museum of Nature & Science sends a fleet of “tusked” Yellow Cabs around town

DENVER—March 19, 2013—Drivers on the streets of Denver may do a double-take when they see a Yellow Cab topped with a tusk. These specially fabricated taxis are promoting Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age, now showing at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science through May 27, 2013.The Museum collaborated with the Yellow Cab company to entice Denverites to come see the exhibition.

In Mammoths and Mastodons: Titans of the Ice Age, visitors encounter some of Earth’s most awe-inspiring mammals, roam among saber-toothed cats and giant bears, and wonder over some of the oldest human artifacts in existence. Life-size models of Ice Age behemoths, fossil tusks and skulls, touchable teeth, spear points, cave paintings, interactive displays, and video installations bring this fascinating time in Earth history back to life.

Extended hours and additional programming will be offered during spring break, Thursday, March 21, through Sunday, March 30. For more information, click here.
